Player of the Year Award  

Catamount Poker is pleased to announce the Player of the Year award!  This is a new award for players who participate in the charity-sponsored poker tournaments run by Catamount Poker. The winner will get the trophy, shown above, and $500 in cash!

 Here's how it works...

The year will run from September 1 through August 31. All charity-sponsored tournaments (those run by Catamount Poker only) will be included, unless specifically identified beforehand as not eligible. Players will get the normal tournament prizes for the winners. However, Player of the Year points will also be awarded to all players, based on their final position in the tournament. So, the first player out will get 1 point, the fifth player out will get 5 points, the tenth player out will get 10 points, and so on. Also, the top three finishers will be awarded additional points: first place will get an extra 5 points; second place will get an extra 3 points; third place will get an extra 1 point. 

Point standings will be updated after each tournament on the attached page (click on the link below). Monthly emails will also be sent out with the latest results. Finally, the Tournament Director will have the current point standings available for all players to see at each of the tournaments. 

The more tournaments you play, the more points you can make, so join the fun, and shuffle up and deal!!!
